Equine Specific First Aid Day Course
Sunday the 26th January 9am - 5pm
When the worst thing possible happens and you part with your horse and get injured it is essential you know what to do. Be it at the yard, in the field or on the road, basic Equine specific first aid is something all owners, riders and parents should know.
Despite being graceful gentle creatures, horses are flight animals and can “spook” without warning. As such you should know what to do or who to contact should an accident happen. Being first aid trained will give you an additional tool that could potentially save a persons life or your own.
After road accidents, research by the BBC in 2007 showed paramedics attend more equestrian-related incidents than any other type of accident.
